IPM Rate Change and Update

While we’re on the subject of rate changes, the early-bird rate for the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) also ends this Friday. This year’s event takes place in a new location, just a few minutes walk from the Royal Garden Hotel, and features expanded networking, and brand new Production Notes sessions presenting the very latest innovations in the sector.
IPM 9 will take place on Thursday 3 March, the day before ILMC begins proper. All ILMC members are welcome to attend and benefit from a discounted rate. Register at the same time as signing up for ILMC, or email registration@ilmc.com if you have already registered and would like to attend IPM.

Marc Geiger at ILMC!

Can you think of a better reason to get out of bed on a Sunday than to see WME’s Marc Geiger in conversation with former colleague and raconteur Ed Bicknell? We certainly can’t.

This year’s Breakfast Meeting will see the head of the music division for William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME) himself take the hot seat with Ed, for a surely riveting 90-minute session. As well as overseeing WME’s 2000+ music clients, Marc Geiger’s own diverse roster includes Jack White, Tony Bennett, LCD Soundsystem, Outkast, David Byrne, Neil Diamond, Rihanna, Tom Petty and Nine Inch Nails and a career that spans the entire contemporary music business.
Geiger has worked as a concert promoter (Triad Artists), record label executive (American Recordings), tech entrepreneur (ARTISTdirect) and festival innovator (he co-founded the Lollapalooza festival brand) all before joining WME in 2003. Former Dire Straits manager and host-with-the-most Ed will be asking the questions, so be sure to set your alarm, and get there early before the strictly limited spaces are invaded by others. It all takes place at 10:30 on Sunday 6 March. More info here.

Super Mario's Super Dinner

Tickets are selling fast for The Mario Bros. Gala Dinner & Super Arthurio Awards, the most prestigious night in the industry’s calendar when 350 of the leading power players and bosses come together.
Accompanying Mario, Luigi and their long lost brother Arthurio on the night will be the Princess Peach of awards ceremonies, Emma Banks, who once again returns to host The Arthurs. And Emma won’t be the only premier league agent to take the legendary Arthur’s stage that night, as Coda’s Alex Hardee hosts the annual Pop Quiz, where ‘unbelievable’ prizes, acclaim and more than a few laughs are all up for grabs.
As if that, and seeing who picks up this year’s Oscar-equivalents, weren’t reasons enough to grab a ticket, then a very special performance from IMPOSSIBLE – the  most dangerous magic show the United Kingdom has ever seen, most likely will be.
Fresh from a dazzling West End premiere, the show’s world-leading headline cast will dazzle with death-defying stunts, mesmerize with incredible sleight of hand and take your breath away with mind-blowing illusions never before seen on stage.
It all takes place at The Savoy, London’s finest and most iconic hotel. A five-star culinary feast, champagne, fine wines, The Arthur Awards, world-class magicians and leading industry lights… what’s not to like?
Sign-up when you register for ILMC or email registration@ilmc.com for more info or if you’ve already registered for ILMC and wish to attend.

A Bonus Level

Calling all production heroes, promoters’ reps, and players on the sharp end of the business… the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) is moving venues this year to cope with increased demand, and we’re also introducing Production Notes – a new format of short, hosted presentations to showcase the best initiatives, products and case studies in the business.
IPM is a one-day conference that welcomes production professionals from around the world. It was established as a link between the production community and the wider live business, so all ILMC delegates are encouraged to attend. IPM 9 takes place on Thursday 3 March, the day before ILMC begins proper, and features a day of panels and discussion; networking opportunities; a five-star buffet lunch and refreshments.

The new venue, the Copthorne Tara Hotel, is just a few minutes walk from the Royal Garden Hotel where the IPM Closing Drinks Party will take place from 18:00 – 20:00 later that day. All IPM and ILMC delegates are welcome to attend.

Full information, including how to apply to present a Production Note is available here. ILMC delegates can sign-up when registering for ILMC, with an early-bird rate of £65 available until 22 Jan. If you only wish to attend the IPM, please click here to register.

Tea and Tech

A hub for private meetings, and a host of some pretty cool kit, Pollstar’s Tech Laboratory will showcase a selection of innovative technologies and supercharged start-ups this year. One of the primary networking areas of ILMC, the space is also open 24 hours per day with tea, coffee, cakes, snacks and recharging points for all your other bits of tech.
If it all sounds too good to be true, and you happen to have the next iGadget, or wow-factor concert gizmo and want to get involved, there's one remaining space... email marketing@ilmc.com for more info.
