Countdown to ILMC 28

It’s just over three weeks until we open the doors of ILMC 28 and kick off THE live music industry gathering of the year. As always though, places are strictly limited, and while ILMC always sells out in advance, this year is looking particularly busy.
So, if you haven’t already confirmed your place, now would be a very good time to do so. After all, once the sold-out signs are up, it really will be game over for those unlucky enough not to get in.

To make sure that you’re on the same level as the other industry power players and bosses, register here.

The ILMC Sessions Announced

Last week’s agenda announcement included news that Live Nation president and CEO Michael Rapino would be joining The Open Forum: The bosses level session on Friday for an exclusive Q&A. But we can now reveal the rest of the line-up for ILMC’s main opening session:
Following his debut last year, the session will see Live Nation’s Phil Bowdery return to the chairman’s seat, co-chairing the session with ILMC’s Greg Parmley. And joining them, between 11:15 – 12:45, for a high-level discussion on the key issues in the international live music business will be Australian music business legend Michael Gudinski (The Mushroom Group/Frontier Touring), Superfly co-founder Rick Farman (Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits), CAA co-head Mike Greek (One Direction, Sigur Rós, Sam Smith), and Red Light Management’s UK MD James Sandom (Bastille, Kaiser Chiefs, The Vaccines).
Also announced this week is a new Saturday afternoon session, which takes place in our main room between 14:00 – 15:15. Chaired by Okan Tombula (eps), the session will review safety and security at our shows in light of November’s terror attack in Paris and other incidents last year. Show Safety: Health points will examine the repercussions of the events as venues review their security procedures; cancellation and terrorism clauses in contracts face scrutiny; and borders are tightened.
So what changes have already been implemented, and ultimately, how much more can be done? Guest speakers include chief inspector Aidan Gibson of the London Met Police’s counter-terrorism division

Lunch with the EAA

ILMC’s complimentary lunches are always a highlight of the conference, but Saturday’s five-star buffet extravaganza just got even better with the news that the European Arenas Association (EAA) will play host.
Share a glass of wine with the many arena members from around Europe, or be in the running to win some rather special tickets for upcoming shows. Alternatively, with a culinary spread that includes everything from sushi to hot delights, just make like Pacman and gobble it all up.

EAA’s lunch takes place from 12:30 – 14:30 on Saturday 5 March.

Dutch Impact Party Update

Full details of this year’s Dutch Impact Party are now available, and it’s a hotbed of new talent mixed with complimentary drinks, nibbles, competitions and prizes. Confirmed to perform are indie rock trio Bombay, punk four-piece The Deaf, and psychedelic rock outfits: Pauw (pictured) and DeWolff
As well as showcases from the hottest Dutch talent around, there’s a Eurosonic Noorderslag 2017 registration up for grabs, as well as enough booze to keep the most hardcore player going. And as it all takes place at Bodo’s Schloss, right next door to the Royal Garden Hotel, it’ll take just moments to race, swing or bounce there. More info about this even is available here.
The event takes place between 18:00 – 21:00 on Friday 4 March. RSVP to emily@globalpublicity.co.uk to get on the list.
